ASAP is the exclusive vehicle for the Trane air-conditioning business in China.  Trane is the world¨s largest commercial air-conditioning chiller manufacturer and the subsidiary of American Standard Companies of New York, a NYSE listed company.  ASAP manufactures, markets, distributes, sells and imports Trane air conditioning products in China.

 

China Distance Education Limited    

 

 

Founded in 2001, CDEL is a leading Chinese distance education services provider. CDEL has successfully developed a set of platform of advanced distance education and training with leading proprietary technology.  It offers a wide range of distance education services which cover accounting (www.chinaacc.com); law (www.chinalawedu.com); engineering (www.jianshe99.com); healthcare (www.med66.com); and self learning (www.zikao365.com), etc.  The company is led by Mr. Zhu Zhengdong, CEO, who is a pioneer in distance learning through internet and has rich experience in the internet and telecommunication sector.

Ctrip.com International         

 

Ctrip.com International Limited (Nasdaq: CTRP), one of the best-known travel services provider in China, is the leading consolidator of hotel accommodations and airline tickets in China. It targets primarily business and leisure travelers in China who do not travel in group. Ctrip¨s hotel reservation system covers more than two thousand hotels in over 300 cities and the airline tickets reservation system covers around 40 cities in China. The Company is led by James Liang, a seven year veteran of Oracle Corporation where he was head of the consulting business for Oracle China.

 

 

EachNet         

 

EachNet, Inc., founded in 1999, is the largest online auction services to businesses and consumers in China with registered users of over 5.5 million. Total online transaction reached RMB 1 billion in the year 2003. Eachnet was acquired by eBay at an enterprise valuation of US$225 million in June 2003.  Eachnet was founded and led by Shao Yibo and Tan Haiying, both graduated from Harvard Business School and worked in world class consulting firms such as BCG and McKinsey.

Positioned itself as an ^elegant gift supplier ̄, Ganso is the leading pastry manufacturer and retailer in Greater China area. Ganso manufactures and sells moon cake, fresh cream cake, mousse cake, western pastry, flower & fresh fruit, and other bakery products. Ganso has built up a superior brand name and is well known for its high product quality in the high-end pastry market, especially for its innovative ice-cream moon cake and birthday cake. It has branches in Shanghai, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Qingdao, Changsha with more than 300 stores in 40 cities.

  

 

Ginebra San Miguel          

 

Ginebra San Miguel (PSE: GSMI) is the largest producer and distributor of alcoholic beverages in the Philippines. In each of its product categories, Ginebra San Miguel is the market leader, with over 70% share of the gin market. The Company supports these brands through a nationwide distribution network that includes 500 beer distributors owned by San Miguel Corporation, a leading multinational in Asia that is the largest food and beverage producer in the Philippines.

 

Heyang         

Founded in 2002, Heyang is one of the largest stand-alone timber forest planting, management and seedling supplying companies in China.  The company operates three main business lines:  1) seedling business in which Heyang cultivates seedlings in leased nurseries, and sells them to other nurseries, forestry bureaus and individual customers; 2) poplar tree plantation business in which Heyang engages in the development of fast growing, high-yield commercial timber forest; 3) timber forest management business in which Heyang manages forestry assets for other owners. Heyang was founded by Su Yong, Chairman and CEO.  Mr. Su and his senior management team gained years of experience working in forestry bureaus and research institutions with strong execution capabilities in the forestry industry.

  

Lafarge Gypsum                                                  
 
Lafarge Gypsum Asia, an affiliate of Lafarge SA in France, is the market leader in plasterboard in Asia (outside of Japan), with dominant positions in South Korea, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines. Lafarge Gypsum Asia produces products such as ceiling tiles, industrial plasters and metal profiles.  In addition to plasterboard,  it has over 200 million square meters of gypsum board capacity through ten plants in five countries in Asia.

  

 

Norstar Advertising Media         

 

Norstar is one of the leading players in IT/consumer electronics, automobile online information platform in China.  The company¨s online business provides comprehensive IT and auto products market information.  Norstar operates three business lines through its wholly-owned subsidiaries: IT168.com, Che168.com, and United Data Catalog (UDC).  IT168 leads the IT products vertical sites measured by advertising spending.  Che168 is one of the leading vertical portals in the automobile sector in China.  UDC provides offline business that offers weekly updated pricing information of IT products.  The company was founded in 1994 by Lan Jiang, who was educated in China and is currently an EMBA candidate at Peking University.

  

Shanghai Chinllenge Gases Corporation          

 

Shanghai Chinllenge Gases Corporation (SCGC) was founded in 2001 by Yuanjin Tao, an ex-British Oxygen Corporation China executive.  The company is among the first private specialized gases companies focusing on onsite gases supply to many chemical, steel, electronics and other manufacturing customers in China.  Prior to the founding of SCGC, Mr. Tao was the President of North China division of British Oxygen Company (BOC) China and a member of BOC Group China Executive Team.

 

 

Sport100       

 

Sport100 is the leading sporting goods retail chain in China.  The company was founded in 2000 and led by Alan Cheung, CEO, who was educated in Hong Kong and received his MBA from Sterling University, United Kingdom.  Mr. Cheung has more than 10 years experience in retailing in China and consumer service management.  Sport100 pursues a multi-brand strategy covering a comprehensive range of branded sporting goods in apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment categories, providing an unrivalled one-stop shopping experience.

 

 

 SweetMart          

 

SweetMart is a leading provider of behavior-based marketing services and scanner-based research solutions for advertisers and retailers.  The Company is led by Sean Yin, CEO, who was educated in China and received his MBA from USA.  Mr. Yin worked for Li & Fung Group, Monitor Consulting, and Procter and Gamble.

 

 

Wuyi International Pharmaceutical          

 

Founded in 2000, Wuyi is a vertically-integrated specialty pharmaceutical company focused on manufacturing, marketing, and selling its branded prescription and OTC western pharmaceuticals and MCM products including MCM injectibles, for the Chinese market. Wuyi¨s diversified product portfolio consists of 21 principal products that address significant medical needs in China in the therapeutic areas of respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and infectious diseases.  Many of its products enjoy a strong market position.  Wuyi is led by Lin Ouwen, who was educated in China and received his MBA from Renmin University of China.

 

   

Yaolan (Babycare)                                     

 

Yaolan was founded by Matt Estes, an executive with many years of experience in operating divisions of multinational consumer products companies in China. Yaolan sells a range of branded nutritional supplements, food products and educational toys aimed at pregnant mothers and children up to six years old. To find the young mothers who are its customers, Yaolan employs other young mothers who earn commissions from sales. Yaolan runs over ten centers in China that provides classes for customers about pregnancy and motherhood.

 

 

Yunnan Longsheng Green Industries                                     

 

Headquartered in Simao of Yunnan province, Longsheng is one of the largest herbal tea brand companies and is well regarded as the best Puer tea manufacturer in China. Longsheng owns and manages about 60 sq. km organic tea farm in Yunnan. The qualities of the products are certified by reputable international institutions including the Department of Agriculture of the United States. Its products are sold through premier channel partners under ^Longsheng ̄ brand. Mr. Zhu Qizhong, Chairman and general manager of Longhsheng, joined the company in 1986 and has over 20 years of experience in the tea industry, from tea manufacturing, plantation technology development, tea farm operations to corporate management.

 

 

 

Zhaopin                                                     

 

Zhaopin.com, a leading recruitment web site, was founded in 1997 as the first foreign head hunting company in mainland China. Its customers include leading multinational companies such as Intel, Nokia, and Procter & Gamble. The company provides a professional resume center, free-of-charge, to job seekers, an easy-to-use job search engine and is a source of career development, training and education and human resources information.  Zhaopin is led by Hao Liu, a Chinese executive with western experience and education. Dimtri Boylan, the ex-CEO of Hotjobs.com, which was acquired by Yahoo, serves on the board of Zhaopin.
